Secretary Kerry's Trilateral Meeting With Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Wales

Secretary Kerry met with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsian and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev at the NATO Summit in Newport, Wales to discuss efforts to resolve the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. He expressed his strong concern for the recent violence along the Line of Contact, marking the deadliest period in the conflict since the 1994 ceasefire took effect. The United States believes that the cessation of hostilities and the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan will bring peace and prosperity to the peoples of both countries, and will contribute to stability in the South Caucasus. With these goals in mind, Secretary Kerry urged the Presidents to strictly respect the ceasefire and take additional steps to prepare their publics for peace.

Armenian and French Presidents discuss trilateral meeting

The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan met today with the President of France Francois Hollande in Newport. (…)The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that the presidents of the two countries spoke with content about the Armenian-French political dialogue and close beneficial cooperation in different fields.

During the meeting the interlocutors touched upon several issues of mutual interest, including the

Nagorno Karabakh conflict peaceful settlement issue and discussed the trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Armenia, Azerbaijan and France initiated by the French party.

 

French Socialists visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial

Members of the Socialist Group of the French National Assembly, who have arrived in Armenia to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Jean-Jaurès (1859-1914), a French politician, Socialist and a friend of Armenians, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial today.

The delegation lead by Bruno Le Roux, President of the Socialist Group in French National Assembly, laid a wreath at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and paid tribute to the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

 

Armenia to host Austria Foreign Minister

The letter of the Ambassador was published on the Independence Day of Nagorno Karabakh in “The Nation” periodical of Buenos Aires. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is in a deranged state of mind, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration's Deputy Head and Director of Administration's Foreign Relations Department, Novruz Mammadov tweeted.

"Judging from two meetings on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution with President Sargsyan in one month, I firmly concluded that he is in a deranged state of mind," he wrote."During the top level meetings it's obvious that his statements, actions and mimicry are inadequate," Mammadov added.

 

No life in Armenia: rural resident
